Laboratory virtualistics was created in 1992 by Nikolay A.Nosov. in the Institute of Human Studies (Russian Academy of Sciences). Head of the Institute is academician I.T.Frolov. In 1997 the Laboratory was transformed into Centre of virtualistics. The Centre of virtualistics is engaged in research of virtual realities in them philosophical, technical, scientific and humanitarian aspects. The idea virtuality is connected with fundamental philosophical categories, but it is not reduced to them, and represents special philosophical category. Philosophical reseaches includes the analysis of spiritual experience of mankind: st.Basil Great, st.Issak Sirian, st.Thomas Aquinas, J.Boehme, E.Swedenborg and other. Working in interaction with the domestic developers of modern computer technologies, the Centre conducts researches of computer virtual realities at a level of world achievement in this sphere. Having original theoretical development in scientific psychology the Centre has a opportunity to develop procedures of the experimental analysis and management of virtual events in psyhic sphere. Theoretical and experimental knowledge permit to transfer to the scientific basis some unusual entities: altered state of consciousness, creative abilities, meditation, extrasensibility and and etc., and to offer productive hypothesises for explane some psychic anomalies in fields narcology, psychiatry, psychosomatic deseasis and etc.
